About
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in New Media from Ryerson University in Toronto (Class of 2021) and am a creator involved in all forms of digital media. My art practice encompasses music production, photography, synth ware and graphic design and is always evolving.
In my photography work, my goal is to capture the commonplace and present it in an interesting way. It may be through how I’ve chosen to frame the subject matter, or it could be through my post-production choices. Whatever the technique I employ, what fascinates me about photography is that it can take the viewer out of a known environment and place them in a space that is both familiar and foreign.
My edited photographs are a far cry from the originals. I crop and frame them to focus on a section of the image; I use distortion software to create glitches; I often play with the tones so that the subject is highlighted and everything else falls away, or inject a bold dash of colour to draw the eye to an object that might otherwise have been overlooked. All this staging is designed to elevate the aesthetic of the image and create emotions that resonate with the viewer.
